Light Up The Town: 5-7 December 2025
It’s that time of year again where our residents light up their homes, bringing our Paerata Rise community into the Christmas season! This year we’ve got some fantastic prizes to win PLUS a GRAND prize of $1,000 to spend at Mitre10 (time to get that outdoor area sorted?)
What To Do: Decorate the outside of your home in anything festive! Fairy lights, Santa, sleigh, reindeer and more! Add music? Go on! The judges cannot wait to see what everyone comes up with this year.
Judging Commences: 5–7 December. Winners announced Monday 8 December 2025.

12 Days of Christmas: 13 - 24 December 2025
In conjunction with Rise ‘n Shine Cafe and our award winning Build Partners, we’re proud to present 12 Days of Christmas! From the 13th of December Rise ‘n Shine cafe will be in full festive mode, with a new activity to enjoy everyday, from horse rides, rock climbing, christmas carols, candy cane hunts and more! And of course Santa will make an appearance every evening, so make sure you bring your christmas list!
But wait there’s more! Every day we will be featuring one of our award winning build partners! Santa will be outside the chosen build partner’s Show Home on Te Rata Boulevard between 7-8pm, along with activities and of course fairy lights! So come along, get in the festive spirit, enjoy our community fairy lights and grab a photo with Santa!
