Kids imaginations take flight at Hyde Park playground

Paerata Rise’s incredible Hyde Park playground was well worth the wait and is now a beloved local asset.

With amazing all-wood structures created and carved by Paerata Rise’s landscaper, Dave Hyde, it’s a place to unleash the kids for fun, imagination and adventure. Popular play features are the little wooden plane, complete with propeller, and the fabulous ‘Paerata Express’ train, with a bell to ring as you ‘approach the station’.

Executive Director of Paerata Rise, Chris Johnston, is loving seeing the community make the most of it. “Hyde Park playground is a real drawcard in our area,” he says.

“It’s exciting to see children exploring all the different parts and using the play equipment. The wooden obstacle course is a big favourite.”

Safely fenced with bark surfaces and soft fall impact mats, the playground is an awesome space for kids to burn off steam and fire their imaginations. Hyde Park playground is located near the school.
