Pets Of Paerata Rise

Many say a home isn’t complete without a furry friend. At Paerata Rise, the whole township embraces pets in the neighbourhood.

‘Central Bark’; an off-leash, fully fenced area found on Jonah Lomu Drive, is the perfect place for the local pooches to roam. Dog-owners can bring their dogs here to exercise whilst also getting physically active themselves and mingling with other dog owners.

Those new to the area also don’t have to worry about safety, which is a common concern for pet owners in more central city areas.

“Pets are part of the community” says Chris Johnston, Executive Director of Paerata Rise, “we wanted to have a place for both our human and furry residents to enjoy together.”

Johnson also spoke on this semi-recent addition to the community, saying “this is just one option of many for pets and owners to enjoy. There is so much space to roam, one of the many joys of sub rural living”.
